Hello Again...
I’m Eli, a recent graduate of General Assembly’s UX/UI bootcamp. I’ve always been drawn to technology, and growing up in London I was surrounded by exciting new developments that sparked my curiosity. That exposure made me realise how much I enjoy exploring how people interact with technology, and it’s what led me to pursue a career in the tech and design industry.
My Story
Before transitioning into the field of UX/UI design, I worked in the trades industry, finding joy in the creative aspect of my work and the collaborative nature of teamwork. However, I soon realized that with the rapid evolution of technology, I was drawn towards a career path that would be less physically demanding and offer me the opportunity to challenge myself in new ways.

The catalyst for my transition came when my cousin enrolled in General Assembly's UX/UI design immersive course in 2021. Hearing about his positive experiences and seeing the excitement in his eyes inspired me to take the leap into UX/UI design. Stepping out of my comfort zone was a new experience for me, but I saw it as a chance for personal growth and self-discovery.

Looking back, I can confidently say that venturing into UX/UI design was one of the best risks I've ever taken. Although it was a departure from my previous career path, I approached the course with determination and commitment, giving it my all. I firmly believe in giving 100% effort in everything you do, even if it's something you may not initially want to pursue. This mindset ensured that I had no regrets and allowed me to fully embrace the opportunities that came my way during the course.
